Finding Your Place in Central Washington

Buying a home is one of the largest financial decisions you'll make—but around here, it's often about much more than the house itself. You're choosing a community, a lifestyle, and a place you hope will feel like home.

Whether you're relocating from Western Washington, moving within the area, searching for your first home, or looking for a mountain getaway or second property, I'll help you navigate the process with a local perspective and practical guidance.

Having made the move from Western Washington myself—and with deep roots in Central Washington throughout my life—I understand both sides of that transition. I know what draws people here: the mountains, four distinct seasons, skiing, hiking, rivers, trails, recreation, and the character of our smaller communities.

I work throughout Leavenworth, Cashmere, Wenatchee, and the surrounding Central Washington communities, and my goal is simple: help you find a property and location that genuinely fit the way you want to live.

Start With a Plan

Before we start touring homes, I want to understand what you're actually looking for.

Where do you need to be? How do you spend your time? What's important in your day-to-day life? Are you looking for a primary residence, acreage, a weekend escape, or a second home?

We'll also talk about budget, financing, timing, current market conditions, and what you can realistically expect within the areas you're considering.

The John L. Scott Buyer's Guide is a helpful resource for understanding the buying process and preparing for your search.

Look Beyond the Listing

Online listings are a great place to start, but there's a lot they can't tell you.

Having spent more than a decade working in property management and short-term vacation rentals, I tend to look at homes differently. Condition, maintenance, layout, access, furnishings, outdoor spaces, and the practical realities of owning a property all matter.

That's particularly valuable when you're considering a mountain home, second home, furnished property, or vacation property.

I'll help you ask the right questions, recognize potential concerns, and look beyond beautiful listing photos so you can make a more informed decision.

Be the First to Know

In real estate, timing can matter.

John L. Scott's Property Tracker® can notify you when new properties matching your criteria come on the market or when the status of a property changes. You can save searches, keep track of favorites, and follow the areas you're most interested in.

I'll also help you refine your search as we go. Sometimes what you think you want at the beginning changes once you've spent time exploring different homes and communities—and that's completely normal.

Relocating From Western Washington?

I've made that move myself.

Central Washington offers a very different pace and lifestyle, and each community has its own personality. Leavenworth, Cashmere, and Wenatchee aren't interchangeable, and choosing where to live can be just as important as choosing the house.

Instead of simply sending you listings, I can help you understand the communities you're considering and narrow your search based on what matters to you.

If you're still in Western Washington, we can begin the process before you make the drive over so your time here is spent looking at properties that genuinely fit.

Looking for a Second Home or Mountain Property?

Buying a second home can involve a different set of considerations than purchasing your primary residence.

My background in short-term rental and property management gives me firsthand experience with the practical side of owning and maintaining properties in a destination market.

If you're considering a cabin, mountain home, furnished property, or potential vacation property, I'll help you evaluate the home from more than one perspective—including how you actually intend to use and enjoy it.

Let's Find the Right Property—Not Just a Property

My job isn't to sell you a house.

It's to help you understand the market, evaluate your options, negotiate effectively, and make a decision you feel confident about.

From our first conversation through inspections, appraisal, financing, title, escrow, and closing, I'll stay closely involved and help you understand what's happening and what comes next.

And hopefully, we'll have some fun exploring Central Washington along the way.

Whether you're already here or considering making Central Washington home, I'd love to hear what you're looking for.
